Please see the information below on our district's plan for education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
November 12th, 2020
The Klickitat School District will be transitioning to Remote Instruction beginning Friday, November 13. No In-Person School starting tomorrow. Students will be bringing home needed materials today.
Klickitat County, like the rest of the US is experiencing escalating COVID-19 cases. In the District Re-Opening Plan, the plan is to close/open school using the 50 per 100,000 active cases in the County metrics. The current level is 67 cases per 100,000. Included in the Plan is to re-evaluate after new guidance is released by the Washington State Department of Health, and to re-visiting this decision each Wednesday during the weekly Klickitat County Health Department meeting. Updates will be given over the call-out messenger on Wednesdays about the following week.
This will not impact planned Parent Teacher Conferences next week. If you have questions, please contact the school at 509-369-4145.
This form must be signed and temperature recorded daily by parent or guardian for student to be on campus. Students will show this to their teachers at the start of the day to gain entrance to the school.
Under no circumstances will a child be permitted to join class without that day's signature and temperature from a parent/guardian.
